Voces del público en Twitter: protestas y sociedad civil en América Latina

Resumo

Este estudio propone un análisis comparativo de dos protestas recientes en América Latina, a partir de Twitter, con el fin de evaluar las iniciativas de comunicación política procedentes del “público” en la región. Más específicamente, busca comprender, en términos de sus representaciones: ¿de quiénes son las voces del público en los episodios? ¿Qué expresan sus mensajes? ¿Y a través de qué medios materializan sus demandas? De manera más amplia, también se propone contribuir a la profundización del debate epistemológico del campo; dar mayor énfasis metodológico a la percepción del “público” en los procesos de comunicación política; y ampliar el ámbito de los estudios de comunicación política regionales mediante el abordaje comparado de iniciativas de comunicación política gestadas por la sociedad civil latinoamericana.
