This study analyzes the strategies that Brazilian federal deputies adopt for the use of social media sites. Such strategies fit in the perspective of egocasting, that is, the production, selection and reproduction of content in a personalized way, in line with the personal objectives of the parliamentarians, according to their ideological preferences. The uses of elements such as lives, stories and podcasts are analyzed. The study is based on data from an electronic questionnaire, which was answered by social media advisers in parliamentary offices. The following network platforms are included: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, WhatsApp, Telegram and LinkedIn. The sample consists of 155 informants, which corresponds to 30.21% of the total of the 513 parliamentary offices. The conclusions show that lives and stories are the formats preferred by parliamentarians, mainly to publicize their daily activities in parliament. Podcasts, less used, focus on the dissemination of political opinions.References
